We live in what I guess you could call the suburbs. It’s really a small to mid-size town, and it is not really equipped for walkers, bikers or public transportation. They are making efforts to put in a bike lane downtown, but if you live where we live, then you would have to drive to the downtown area before you could get on your bike.
I’m sorry I’ve not been regularly posting recently. We’ve added a family member, and the transition from two to three kids was rougher than I thought it would be.
We’re still doing our best to live a greener lifestyle, and are attempting to teach our boys about sustainable living as well. But I’ve not been good about sharing new tips and facts as I find them. A lot of this is just my mind’s been frazzled of late. Hopefully, my memory will start to come back very soon.
We can chalk another green remedy to tea bags and honey. Yes, they can help soothe sore throats, and the tea can help with dark circles while honey helps blemishes and wounds. But they can also help with cold sores.
I’m not sure if it’s in honor of Earth Day, but this weekend, you can get free admission to national parks. If the weather is agreeable, it would be a fun, free and green excursion!

It’s always a pain when you have to recycle an old computer battery, cell phone or another gadget, because it can be hard to find a place to recycle them correctly and (if you’re like me) for free. Now there’s a new option — Staples!
